description

LiveWell Colorado is a statewide initiative aimed at reducing overweight and obesity rates and related chronic diseases in Colorado.  A partnership among foundations, health care organizations, non-profit organizations and state and local public health agencies, LiveWell Colorado works with communities to promote healthy eating and active living through policies, programs and environmental changes.

Sponsored by The Colorado Health Foundation, CDPHE and Kaiser Permanente, this collaborative initiative focuses on comprehensive community approaches to healthy lifestyles, while reducing duplicative fundraising, administration and evaluation efforts throughout the state.

Purpose

LiveWell Commerce City (LWCC) is committed to improving the health of residents of historic Commerce City.  To do so, it is encouraging citizens to eat better and move more through programs such as the Wild Walk at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge and policy changes in land use and school wellness.
