The Victim Services Unit provides advocacy, referral and support to victims of crime. The unit provides crisis intervention services 24-hours a day to victims of crime. During 2006, the unit assisted 520 victims, and 80 calls to a crime scene.
The victim advocate budget is supplemented through grants, including Victim and Witness Assistance and Law Enforcement Board (VALE).
