The Support Operations division is responsible for the investigation of all felony crimes and complex incidents, including homicide, sexual assault, robbery, assaults, death investigations, burglary, fraud, forgery, and auto theft.
The division is committed to solving crimes and holding suspects accountable for their actions by utilizing an effective case management system to assign cases. The case management system focuses efforts more effectively and efficiently on those crimes that are the most serious or have potential for solution.
The division has excellent working relationship with the Adams County District Attorney’s Office, Adams County Coroner’s Office, Adams County Sheriff’s Department, and other local law enforcement agencies.
Support Operations consists of:
- Crime Scene Investigations (CSI)
- Detectives/Investigations
- Officers in the North Metro Task Force (NMTF)
- Street Crimes Attack Team (SCAT)
- Victim Advocates
Honors
The Commerce City Police Department along with the Denver Metropolitan Auto Theft Team was honored for a Grand jury investigation that resulted in numerous indictments. CCPD and DMATT were presented a national award for outstanding performance by the Western States Auto Theft Investigators and National Insurance Crime Bureau.
