Building division - Building Code
Commerce City’s Building Division enforces the following codes and amendments:
- The 2003 International Building, Residential, Plumbing, Fuel Gas, Mechanical, Fire, Energy, Existing Building, Property Maintenance, Performance, and the 2002 National Electrical Codes.
- The ASME A 17.1 B 2003 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, and the 18.1 1991 Safety Standard for Platform Lifts and Stairway Chair Lifts.
