City clerk's office
The City Clerk's Office of Commerce City strives to provide a high level of customer service to the community and other departments within the City organization. The staff offers specialized administrative services as set forth in state statutes, Commerce City Municipal Code and Charter. The Clerk's Office is responsible for maintaining the official records of the City, conducting elections, administering the liquor licensing program, coordination of the City's boards and commissions and serving as Clerk to the City Council.
Liquor Licensing
Renews existing licenses, provides information to the Liquor License Authority for issuance of new licenses and special event permits.
Posts Liquor License Authority agendas and meeting minutes.
Preserves records of Liquor License Authority.
Elections
Serves as election official for the City, providing information for candidates running for municipal office.
Assists with reports as required by the State of Colorado.
Ordinances
Coordinates placement of proposed ordinances on the City Council agenda.
Posts and publishes ordinances passed by City Council in accordance with State statutes and the City Charter.
Records
The City Clerk's Office is responsible for maintaining the official records of the City. These records are available for public inspection.
