General Building Permits are required for the following:

| Interior Remodel | New dwellings |
| Porch additions or enclosures | Retaining walls |
| Room additions | Roofing and siding |
| Sheds | Structural repairs |
| Swimming Pools | Towers or satellite dishes |
| Water heaters | Water Softeners |
| Window/door replacement |
A permit is required for new construction and to remodel residential structures, including residential garages and sheds; residential fences; electrical; plumbing; heating/air conditioning installations or repairs; and exterior siding and windows. This list is not all-inclusive. Prior to beginning any work, call the Building Division at 303.289.3683 to verify the need for a permit.
If emergency repairs are required, a permit application must be submitted to the Building Division by no later than the end of the next working day.
